In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Worldly Encounters.”
I would be happy to recommend a movie or a book, but I would not want to sway our dear visitor’s thinking. I have heard numerous individuals describe many different experiences they had when visiting a particular country. Some have found the French friendly, helpful and obliging, while others have described them as rude and disinterested. Italians are boisterous and aggressive, while some describe them as cultured and welcoming…Often it speaks more of the person having the experience than the other way around
Getting back to our Friendly Extraterrestrial, I think he will find out soon enough who and what we are here on this sweet orb. I could only hope he projects the best of him or her self and encounters lovely people and has a wonderful time…as for a movie, I would recommend ” Sense and Sensibility” . Aside from being one of my favorite movies, it has an interesting array of characters, some with moral fibre, some still learning, the power of money in our world.. inequality between the genders, the ways of love, and the best part….. a happy ending. I hope our visitor sheds a tear in the end…
That will tell us a bit about him…or her.
